Kathryn Zielony

Kathryn Zielony has extensive experience in strategic communications, media relations, and account management. Kathryn currently holds the position of Director of Strategic Communications - Media Relations at TNTP since June 2023. Prior to that, they worked at WE Communications as an Account Director from March 2019 to May 2023, and as an Account Manager from April 2017 to February 2019. Before joining WE Communications, Kathryn worked as a Senior Account Executive at GMMB from February 2015 to April 2017. Kathryn also held roles such as Marketing Project Manager at Washington Athletic Club from September 2014 to February 2015, Marketing & Communications Manager at YMCA of Greater Seattle from April 2013 to September 2014, and Public Relations Coordinator at CleanEnergy4All from April 2012 to April 2014. Kathryn started their career at Groupon as an Account Manager from January 2012 to September 2012. In addition, they have previous experience outside the communications field, including working as a 1st and 2nd Grade Teacher at Teach for America from July 2008 to May 2011, and as a Public Relations Intern at Children's Miracle Network and Lands Council in 2007 and 2005 respectively.

Kathryn Zielony has a Masters in Teaching with a specialization in Elementary Education from Chaminade University of Honolulu. Kathryn also completed their undergraduate education at Gonzaga University, earning a BA degree with a double major in Public Relations and International Studies. Additionally, Kathryn participated in a study abroad program in Florence, Italy through Gonzaga University.
