Clare York (Gribble)

Clare York (Gribble) has held various financial and managerial roles throughout their career. Clare is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at TOAST since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Psycle London from 2017 to 2022, where they held the positions of Finance Director and Head of Finance. At Psycle, Clare led the finance team and successfully transitioned it from an outsourced provider to an in-house team. Their responsibilities included HR and legal management, board level reporting, investor relations, fundraising, cashflow forecasting, and financial planning. Clare also implemented systems, controls, and processes, and developed key performance indicators and incentives for all teams.

Before their time at Psycle London, Clare worked at John Lewis as a Commercial Finance Manager, Senior Business Analyst for Online Reporting and Insight, and Senior Business Analyst for Supply Chain Development from 2015 to 2017. Clare was also a Business Analyst for Financial Planning & Analysis at Clear Channel Outdoor from 2013 to 2015. Clare began their career at BDO LLP in 2009 as an Audit Senior for Financial Services, and later worked at BDO USA, LLP as an Audit Senior for Financial Services from 2012 to 2013.

Clare York (Gribble) pursued their education in a chronological order, starting with their studies at the University of York. From 2006 to 2009, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, graduating with a First-class honor.

Following their undergraduate studies, Clare enrolled at ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) in 2009. Clare pursued the Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification, a comprehensive course in accounting. Clare successfully completed the ACA program within the period of 2009 to 2012, achieving first-time passes in their exams.

In addition to their education, Clare obtained the ACA certification from ICAEW in December 2012, further solidifying their proficiency in the field of accounting.
