Deirdre Costello

Deirdre Costello is the Senior Director of Design at Toast, where they lead a team in developing human-centered financial solutions for the restaurant industry with a focus on customer trust. Prior to this role, Deirdre served as the Lead UX Researcher and was the first UX Researcher at Toast, promoting user research and design thinking throughout the organization. Deirdre's earlier experience includes various positions in academia and libraries, as well as roles in user experience research at companies like EBSCO Information Services and Credo Reference. Deirdre also contributed to educational initiatives, such as developing curricula and teaching at Boston College.
