Aleksandr Khorev has a diverse work experience in the field of QA automation and software development.
From April 2022 to the present, they have been working as a QA Automation Team Lead at Toca Boca, a Swedish app development studio. In this role, they are responsible for building pipelines, writing different types of tests, and guiding developers on automation approaches.
From October 2019 to February 2022, Aleksandr worked as a QA Automation Team Lead at Ton Labs, a blockchain startup. Here, they established QA processes for the frontend team, implemented CI/CD pipelines, and conducted end-to-end testing. Aleksandr utilized various technologies and tools for UI testing and project management.
Prior to that, from April 2018 to October 2019, they worked as a Lead Automation Engineer at Akvelon, Inc. Their responsibilities included team planning, communication with stakeholders, and training manual QA team members. Aleksandr also contributed to cross-testing between different teams and played a role in mentoring and developing other QA Automation Engineers.
Before becoming a Lead Automation Engineer, they held the position of Senior Automation Developer at Akvelon, Inc. from February 2017 to April 2018. In this role, they developed various tests and built internal testing libraries for an Electronic Health Record system.
Additionally, from June 2016 to February 2017, Aleksandr worked as a Software Engineer for Microsoft Dynamics Marketing. Aleksandr was involved in the development of system components and wrote unit and integration tests.
Throughout their career, Aleksandr has gained experience with technologies and tools such as TypeScript, Jest, Playwright, WebdriverIO, Detox, C#, Selenium, and various project management methodologies.
Aleksandr Khorev completed their Master's degree in Mathematical and Computer Science at Yaroslavl Demidov State University from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the same university between 2013 and 2017. In addition to their formal education, Aleksandr obtained several certifications. In September 2017, they obtained the certification for MongoDB for .NET Developers from MongoDB. Later in June 2019, they completed the certification course on Managing Conflict by Fred Kofman on LinkedIn. Lastly, in July 2022, Aleksandr obtained the AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
