Senior Game Programmer at Toca Boca

Clas W. has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles within the tech and gaming industry. Clas started their career as a Web Developer at Marieberg Interactive in 1997. Clas then moved on to work as a Web and Game Developer & Designer at Futurniture from 1998 to 2004, where they were involved in creating Flash games, animation, and web development projects.

After that, Clas worked as a Visual Art Teacher at Kids' Gallery from 2008 to 2009. During the same period, they also did freelance work as a Web Developer. From 2009 to 2012, Clas was a Tech Lead at Avandeo, Designwelt GmbH, where they played a significant role in developing an eCommerce platform for a German startup company.

In 2012, Clas joined Koloss Interactive as a Lead Game & App Developer/Designer/Artist. Clas was responsible for creating the game "LUMBERWHACK: DEFEND THE WILD," which gained recognition from Apple and was featured as the "Best New Game" and winner in various categories in multiple countries. The game was also included in the "Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition." Clas worked at Koloss Interactive until 2018.

From 2015 to 2016, Clas worked as a Senior Game Producer at Shanghai Film Center (Game Division), where they contributed to game concept development and provided consultation for acquiring game IP's from major studios and companies.

In 2019, Clas started their own consultancy, Digital Exception, where they worked as a Consultant Software Developer & Founder. Clas assisted companies with Unity, C#, Game, Web, and App Development, as well as design.

Most recently, Clas has been employed as a Senior Game Programmer at Toca Boca since 2020.

Clas W. has a diverse education history. In 2009, they obtained a diploma in Chinese Language and Literature from Fudan University. From 2008 to 2009, they pursued a diploma in Chinese Language and Culture, Calligraphy, and Kung Fu at Liaocheng University. Prior to that, between 2006 and 2008, Clas W. attended Stockholm University, focusing on Pedagogy. In 2002, they enrolled in Basis Art School, where they earned a degree in Fine Arts, specializing in Fine/Studio Arts, General. Finally, in 2001, they received a diploma in Typography from Beckmans College of Design. These various academic pursuits spanning different fields showcase Clas W.'s passion for language, culture, pedagogy, fine arts, and design.
