Sorin Rizea has a diverse work experience in the field of game development. Sorin started their career as a Customer Care Representative at CGS Romania in 2008 before moving on to become an Educational Game Developer at SIVECO Romania in 2009. Sorin worked on the development of mini-games for interactive biology, history, and physics lessons. Sorin then joined Ubisoft in 2010 as a Social Game Developer, where they worked on a treasure hunting game called Treasure Odyssey. Sorin joined MavenHut Games in 2014 as a Social Game Developer before becoming a Freelance Game Developer in 2011, working on various Flash game projects. During this time, they participated and won in game development hackathons such as EA Code Wars and Ubisoft Game Jam. In 2014, they joined Electronic Arts (EA) as a UI Technical Artist for the Need for Speed series before transitioning to the roles of Lead Multiplayer Designer and Senior Game Designer for the FIFA Ultimate Team. Sorin worked on delivering improvements to several areas of the games, including multiplayer, social features, and user-generated content. In 2022, Sorin joined Toca Boca as a Senior Game Designer.

Sorin Rizea began their education at the University of Bucharest in 2007, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. Sorin completed this degree in 2010. Following their undergraduate studies, Sorin went on to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering at the University of Bucharest from 2010 to 2013.
