Todd Energy
Matthew McDonald is an experienced control room operator and production technician, currently working at Todd Energy since February 2021. In this role, responsibilities include routine performance checks, critical function testing, and data logging at the Kapuni gas plant, which is vital for New Zealand's gas supply. Matthew previously worked at Origin Energy from November 2013 to December 2020, where responsibilities spanned safe operation and optimization of gas processing facilities, including oversight of compressors and dehydration systems. Matthew has contributed to safety protocols as a member of the HSE Committee and is skilled in risk assessments and operational efficiency improvements. Educational background includes a Certificate III in Process Plant Operations and completion of NCEA Level 3 from New Plymouth Boys High School.
