Sharon Mueller, MBA, has over 20 years of experience in various roles within the financial industry. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Consumer Lending at Together Credit Union, where they are responsible for managing the organization's consumer loan portfolio and implementing growth strategies.
Before joining Together Credit Union, Sharon worked at Qualitest as the VP of Credit Union and Banking Solutions, North America. In this role, they partnered with banks and credit unions across the region to address their software quality assurance (QA) pain points and improve the scalability of their QA programs. Sharon also played a significant role in assessing existing QA programs, identifying cyber security gaps, and ensuring successful software project deployments.
Prior to Qualitest, Sharon worked at BCU in various leadership positions. As the Director of Process Transformation, they managed improvement projects aimed at reducing waste and eliminating process bottlenecks. Sharon also created a strategic plan for cultural change and led a team to complete multiple projects resulting in measurable benefits. Additionally, they served as a Strategic Project Manager & Enterprise Owner, where they optimized a consumer loan and credit card origination system through post-implementation projects.
Further back in their career, Sharon worked at BCU as the Director of Member Relations (Call Center) and Manager of Loan Sales. In these roles, they achieved loan origination goals, developed sales incentive promotions, and oversaw the development of relocation services. Sharon also played a role in managing loan pricing and credit policy.
Sharon's earlier experience includes working as a Leadership Development Associate and Sales/Loan Officer. Overall, they have a strong background in financial services, with expertise in consumer lending, process improvement, software quality assurance, and project management.
Sharon Mueller, MBA, completed their Bachelor's degree in Fiction Writing at Columbia College Chicago from 1998 to 2001. Sharon then pursued their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration, Management, and Operations at the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management from 2004 to 2007.
