Paul Cookson

Paul Cookson has a strong background in credit risk management and analysis. Paul is currently a Senior Credit Risk Manager at Together - loans, mortgages & finance. Prior to this, they worked at Barclays as a Mortgage Credit Risk Manager, where they led valuations strategy and developed a collateral valuation framework. Paul was also involved in the development of a new property risk and valuation platform. Before Barclays, Paul worked as a Loans Portfolio Risk Manager and a Collections Strategy Manager at the same company. In these roles, they focused on affordability assessment, model risk management, and process improvements for collection strategies. Earlier in their career, Paul was a Senior Credit Risk Analyst at Lloyds Banking Group, where they maintained acceptance criteria for new loan customers and conducted profitability and delinquency analysis. Paul began their career as a Credit Risk Analyst at The Co-operative Bank plc, where they determined acceptance criteria and monitored loan products.

Paul Cookson attended Altrincham Grammar School for Boys from 1993 to 2000. Paul then went on to study at the University of Leeds from 2000 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Science - BS degree in Computer Science and Statistics.
