Toika is a Finnish family business that was founded in 1898 by Gustaf Pihlgren. Throughout its history, Toika has always been owned by the same family. Today, it is run by the 5th generation.
Toika is the leading manufacturer of handlooms and weaving equipment, and their high quality is recognized all over the world. Toika manufactures looms, computer-control devices for looms, reeds, shuttles, warping equipment and all other kinds of handicraft equipment and accessories. Toika also manufactures furniture: specially-designed items for daycare centers, for example fold-out beds, storage systems and wardrobes .
