Stu Levy

Founder & CEO at TOKYOPOP

Stu Levy has been involved in a variety of roles throughout their career. In 1996, they founded and became the CEO of TOKYOPOP. In 2006, they became the Chair of the International Committee for the Producers Guild of America. From 2009 to 2015, they were an independent Producer and Director, producing a number of feature films, web shows, and a bit of television. In 2011, they were a Filmmaker for Pray for Japan. In 2015, they became the Managing Director of POP Comics Limited. In 2016, they became the Managing Director of Tokyopop GmbH. Most recently, in 2018, they became a Writer for Nightmare Before Christmas: Zero's Journey.

Stu Levy completed a BA in Business/Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles from 1985 to 1988. Stu then attended the University of Tokyo for Comparative Law in 1989, followed by Georgetown University Law Center for a JD in Law from 1989 to 1991. Afterwards, they completed a Special in Japanese language from Keio University from 1991 to 1992. In 2018, they attended Saïd Business School, University of Oxford for a Blockchain Strategy Program in Information Technology.
