John Kaminski is an experienced emergency management and fire services professional with a comprehensive background in leadership and instruction. Currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor at Bowling Green State University since August 2022, John also holds multiple roles with FEMA, including Resource Unit Leader for FEMA US&R Red IST and Task Force Leader for Ohio Task Force 1 US&R since September 2017. John actively contributes to Team Rubicon and has a longstanding career with the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department, progressing through ranks from Firefighter to Assistant Chief since July 1997. Additional experience includes involvement in the Incident Management Team for Butler County EMA and participation in COVID-19 pandemic response efforts within the City of Toledo/Lucas County. John holds a Master's degree in Emergency Management/Homeland Security from Arizona State University and a Bachelor's degree in Fire Services Administration from Bowling Green State University, complemented by an Associate's degree in Business Management from Owens Community College.
