Karim Baroudi

Karim Baroudi, MPH, currently serves as the Public Health Commissioner for the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department, a position held since April 2024. Prior to this role, Karim was Health Commissioner at Hancock Public Health from May 2016 to March 2024 and worked as an Environmental Health Safety Specialist at the Ohio Department of Health from September 2012 to May 2016. Karim's career in environmental health began in January 2001 at the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department, where responsibilities included serving as Environmental Health Specialist - Supervisor until August 2012. Earlier in the career, Karim was the Chief Chemist at Surface Technologies of Toledo from June 2000 to January 2001. Academic qualifications include a Masters of Public Health in Public Health Administration from the Northwest Ohio Consortium for Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from The University of Toledo, along with a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Chemistry from Lebanese American University. Educational background is further supported by a High School Diploma in Experimental Sciences from College des Freres, Tripoli.
