Ann Newton

Ann Newton has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Ann has held various roles at Toledo Public Schools, starting in 2014 as the Head Start - Director of Compliance. Ann then served as the Early Childhood Data Quality Director from 2017 to 2019 before being promoted to the position of Early Childhood Education, Senior Director, where they currently work. Prior to their time at Toledo Public Schools, Ann worked at YMCA/JCC of Greater Toledo as a Child Development and Inclusion Specialist from 2002 to 2014. Ann also served as an Instructor in the Teacher Education Department at Owens Community College from 2003 to 2013. Ann began their career as a Teacher at Peoria Unified School District from 1992 to 2001.

Ann Newton earned a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from The University of Toledo from 1986 to 1992. Ann later obtained a Master's Degree in Education with a focus on Counseling and Human Relations from Northern Arizona University from 1993 to 1996.
