Mari Davies

Director, Institutional Giving at Toledo Symphony Orchestra

Mari Davies is the current Director of Institutional Giving at the Toledo Symphony Orchestra. Mari has held this position for 4 years and 9 months. Prior to their current position, they were with Toledo Ballet for 11 years, where they served as Executive Director.

During their time with Toledo Ballet, Mari oversaw a 400% increase in educational and community outreach programs. Mari also created a vision for a new Nutcracker set, which included coordinating the fundraising, set design, and construction of all components of the new set. The cost of the entire new set was approximately $250,000.

Mari has forged numerous creative outreach collaborations with organizations serving underprivileged youth and has designed and overseen two successful capital campaigns in one fiscal year.

Mari Davies has a Bachelor of Arts in English from The University of Toledo, as well as a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education - English Grades 7-12. Mari has a background in literature and creative writing.

The team of Mari Davies, Director of Institutional Giving, is responsible for raising money from foundations and other institutions to support the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. The team works closely with the Music Director, the Director of Marketing & Communications, and the Director of Education & Community Engagement to ensure that the TSO is able to meet its financial goals.
