Joseph Collins

Senior Instructor at Tomahawk Strategic Solutions

Joseph Collins is a Senior Instructor at Tomahawk Strategic Solutions and has extensive experience serving in both the United States military and local law enforcement agencies.

He enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in 1999 and deployed to Bosnia in 2000. After serving four years in the Marine Corps, Mr. Collins transferred to the United States Army and served for another six years, completing two combat tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and numerous other commendations and awards for his service.

Mr. Collins also served for 14 years in local law enforcement as a SWAT team leader, Patrol Sergeant, and lead firearms instructor for multiple law enforcement agencies. Additionally, he served as a firearms and tactics instructor for the International School of Tactical Medicine for three years. While serving as a SWAT team member, Mr. Collins responded to the April 16th, 2007 Virginia Tech incident. Mr. Collins also played a leading role in resolving a hostage situation in which his actions directly impacted the safe rescue of a female hostage.
