Randy Chase is an Atmospheric Data Scientist at Tomorrow.io since March 2025, with a prior role as a Global Cloud Retrieval Scientist at the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere from February 2023 to February 2025, where machine learning algorithms for satellite remote sensing were developed. Randy served as a Postdoctoral Researcher Associate at the University of Oklahoma from January 2021 to February 2023, focusing on machine learning algorithms for severe weather hazards, and was a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from August 2016 to January 2021, contributing to NASA's Global Precipitation Measurement mission with a focus on ice phase precipitation. Additional experience includes teaching roles at the University of Illinois and SUNY Brockport, as well as participation in a field campaign as a Sounding Team Operator and Driver for RELAMPAGO 2018. Randy holds a PhD and an M.S. in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
