Ross Miles

Ross Miles has a diverse work experience in finance, corporate strategy, and business optimization. Ross is currently the Head of Corporate Finance and Treasury at Tongaat Hulett. Prior to that, they were self-employed as the Founder and Principal of MFW Consulting, where they utilized their expertise in strategy, finance, and business performance to assist senior management in value creation and business optimization. Ross also provided financial oversight and maximized profitability. Before their self-employment, Ross worked as the Financial Director at GMIG (Pty) Ltd, overseeing the finance role and training empowerment owners in business processes and financial management. Ross also served as a Senior Corporate Finance Analyst at AngloAmerican, where they provided guidance to executive committees and the main board on corporate finance and business development decisions. Ross began their career as a Senior Auditor at PwC, auditing major businesses and providing business advisory services and internal control enhancement.

Ross Miles completed their education at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, first earning a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Accounting, Management Accounting and Finance, Auditing, and Taxation from 2001 to 2003. Ross then pursued an advanced level of study, obtaining a BCom (Hons) degree in Advanced Accounting, Advanced Management Accounting & Finance, Advanced Auditing, and Advanced Taxation in 2004. Prior to university, they attended Kloof High School from 1995 to 2000. Additionally, they acquired the certification of Chartered Accountant (South Africa) from the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2009.
