Gijs van Engelen

Gijs van Engelen is an experienced editor and writer currently working at Tonny Media since May 2022, contributing to the Zelfspodcast and co-presenting Taalpolitie. Gijs also serves as a reviewer for Jonge Historici since April 2021 and previously completed an internship at Tonny Media in 2021, where versatile skills were showcased in writing, voice acting, and music. Gijs holds multiple degrees including a Master of Arts in Literary Studies from Leiden University, and additional Master’s degrees in History from the University of Oxford and the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne. Gijs also earned Bachelor's degrees in Film and Literature Studies and History from Leiden University, alongside completing secondary education at Stedelijk Gymnasium Leiden.
