Timothy Decker

Instructor At Columbia Chicago at Toon Boom Animation

Timothy Decker is an experienced educator and artist in the field of animation. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia College Chicago, Decker teaches in a dynamic animation program. Decker co-founded Black Cat Ally, transforming a Milwaukee alley into a public art space that features international artists. With a long-standing role at MATC as an Animation Instructor and Department Co-Chair, Decker has also held positions at UWM's Peck School of the Arts and as a guest lecturer at the University of Tennessee. As a co-founder of Silly Monkey Animation Studios and previously a co-owner of Cartoon Adventure Camp, Decker is dedicated to fostering creativity in young artists. Educational background includes a BFA in Character Animation/Film from the California Institute of the Arts and an Associate of Art in Illustration from the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design.
