Stephen J. Tyde, Jr. has extensive work experience in the real estate industry. Stephen J. currently serves as the Principal and Head of Special Servicing at Toorak Capital Partners since June 2020. Before that, they were the Vice President at DLP Capital Partners, where they managed servicing, draw management, and workouts on a $300M loan book with loans in over 30 states. Stephen J. also worked as the Vice President at Beazer Homes, overseeing acquisitions. Prior to that, Stephen worked as the Director & Portfolio Manager at Rialto Capital Advisors, a subsidiary of Lennar Corporation, and as the Managing Director at Resource Real Estate Partner. Stephen J. has also held positions at Levitt & Sons/Core Communities, PulteGroup, and has worked in various legal positions, providing counsel to real estate development firms and homebuilders.

Stephen J. Tyde, Jr. completed their education in a chronological order starting from their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration and Management from The University of Tulsa in 1991. Following that, they pursued a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Mercer University in 1995. Finally, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree specialized in Real Estate and Finance from Emory University's Goizueta Business School, finishing in 2004.
