Dan Stewart is a seasoned professional in the fields of business development, project coordination, and community engagement. Currently serving as the Business Development Officer for Energy and Infrastructure at Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise since August 2025, Dan is focused on fostering partnerships and driving growth in the energy sector. Previous roles include Project Coordinator and Industry Relationships Consultant at the University of Southern Queensland, where involvement centered on enhancing university-industry collaborations. As Co-Owner of the social enterprise café Bounce, Dan championed employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, while earlier ventures include co-owning Ortem Pty Ltd, a dining and events destination. Dan's contributions to the arts as Co-Artistic Director of the Mixtape Theatre Collective and as Director of D for Drama highlight a commitment to cultural initiatives in Toowoomba. TSBE has a thriving membership of over 520 businesses across 26 sectors and assists them to grow in the region by delivering a diverse membership offer with direct and indirect assistance tailored to suit business needs at their chosen level.
