Cindy Shovell has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Cindy began their career in 2003 as a Supervisor at Latch Key and also worked as a Carriage Driver at Top Hat Carriages until 2008. From 2007 to 2008, they worked as a Substitute Teacher at Edison Charter Schools, where they were responsible for daily classroom instruction. In 2009, they briefly served as a Middle School Teacher at Sandburg Middle School, working closely with students in need of extra instruction.
Cindy then joined Top Ten Liquors in 2008 and took on various roles within the company. Cindy started as a Sales Associate and eventually progressed to Assistant Manager in 2011. In this role, they supervised staff, managed daily operations, and handled accounting and inventory tasks. In 2013, they became a Store Manager, responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the store. Cindy later transitioned to the position of Area Manager in 2021 and is currently working as a District Manager.
Additionally, Cindy has experience in the education sector. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Substitute Teacher at Burnsville, Eagan, Savage Schools where they maintained student focus and enforced school guidelines. Cindy also served as a History Day Mentor at the Minnesota Historical Society from 2010 to 2011 and as a Substitute Teacher at Box Hill School from January to May 2007.
Furthermore, Cindy briefly worked as a Mentor Supervisor at Tri Valley Migrant Head Start in 2008, providing guidance and support to mentors. Overall, they have displayed versatility and adaptability in their work across different industries and roles throughout their career.
Cindy Shovell attended the University of Minnesota Duluth from 2002 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. During the same period, they also studied at the University of Minnesota, achieving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Teaching Social Studies.
