Susan Pavone, CPCU has a diverse and extensive work experience in the insurance and investment industries. Susan has held various roles at different companies throughout their career.
Susan started their career at Farmers Insurance Group of Companies in 1985, where they held various positions until 1994. Susan then became the Director of Investment Operations at Farmers Insurance Group of Companies from 1994 to 1998.
After that, Susan worked at Zurich Scudder Investments as the Vice President, Group Manager, Operations from 1998 to 2001. During this time, they were responsible for directing operations, administration, and information system activities for the fixed income asset management group.
Next, Susan joined Deutsche Asset Management as the Vice President, Client Investment Specialist from 2001 to 2002. In this role, they focused on relationship management for large insurance company clients and ensured compliance with regulatory and client investment guidelines.
Susan returned to Farmers Insurance Group of Companies in 2003, where they held several roles. Susan served as the Director of Claims Administration from 2003 to 2007. Susan then became the Manager of Personal Lines Underwriting from 2007 to 2009, where they managed programs and projects supporting consistent and accurate underwriting. Finally, they served as the Director of Personal Lines Underwriting from 2009 to 2013.
After their tenure at Farmers Insurance Group of Companies, Susan joined Alliance United Insurance Company as the Director of Underwriting Performance from 2013 to 2014. Susan then worked at Explorer as the Director of Underwriting from 2014 to 2016.
Currently, Susan is working at Topa Insurance Company. Susan started in 2016 as the Senior Manager of Insurance Operations, and they were later promoted to Assistant Vice President of Underwriting in 2017. In 2020, they were elevated to the position of Vice President of Underwriting, their current role.
Susan Pavone, CPCU, has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from California State University, Northridge. Susan also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Child Development from the same university. In addition to their academic achievements, Susan has obtained certifications in Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters and Market Conduct Management (MCM) from the Insurance Regulatory Examiners Society.
