Dikran Sarko

Dikran Sarko has been working in the field of nanotechnology since 2021, when they began their current role as Head of Nanotechnology at Topas Therapeutics GmbH. Prior to this, they were a Senior Research Scientist at DKFZ German Cancer Research Center and Immundiagnostik AG in 2019. From 2011 to 2016, they held various roles at Al-Baath University and Al-Hawash Private University, including Assistant Professor of Organic, Pharmaceutical & Medicinal Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy and Head of Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Quality Control, Faculty of Pharmacy. In 2014 and 2016, they were a Visiting Lecturer at University of Kalamoon and Al-Hawash Private University, respectively. From 2011 to 2011, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at University Hospital Heidelberg. Dikran also had a role as General Manager at Baksa Pharmacy from 2002 to 2005, where they established and managed their own pharmacy and increased the net income by 500%.

Dikran Sarko has a diverse educational background. Dikran obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) from Tishreen University between 1997 and 2001. Dikran then earned a Diplom in Pharmacodynamics from Damascus University in 2004. In 2007, they completed their Ph.D. in Pharmacy from Heidelberg University. Afterwards, they completed a Postdoc in Drug Targeting & Drug Delivery systems at Heidelberg University Hospital (UKHD) in 2011. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including a Registered/Licensed pharmacist (Approbation als Apotheker) from the Landesgesundheitsamt - Regierungspräsidium Stuttgart in 2020, GxP-Training from Pharmaakademie GmbH & Co. KG in 2018, C1-Fachsprachenprüfung Pharmazie from the Landesapothekerkammer Baden-Württemberg in 2017, telc Deutsch B2 from telc GmbH - The European Language Certificates in 2017, a Certificate of Translation from the Arab Centre for Arabization, Translation, Authorship and Publication in 2016, and Laboratory Animal Science and Methods of Animal Experimentation (FELASA B) from Heidelberg University in 2008.
