Zaixing Mao is currently a Chief Specialist at Topcon Corporation, focusing on integrating AI with hardware technologies since October 2019. In addition, Zaixing serves as a 非常勤講師 at Tokyo Medical and Dental University and a Visiting Scientist at RIKEN, both roles undertaken since 2020. Previously, Zaixing held the position of CTO at SAI from April 2021 to February 2024 and worked as a Senior Scientist and Research Scientist at Topcon Medical Systems from August 2017 to October 2019, concentrating on AI applications in next-generation optometry devices and healthcare. Zaixing began a research career as a Research Assistant at Brown University from June 2012 to May 2017 while completing a Ph.D. in Experimental Particle Physics at Brown University from 2011 to 2017, following a B.S. in Physics from Peking University obtained in 2011.
