Alexander Baldauf has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Alexander started their career in 2002 as the Head of IT at Compatec GmbH, where they worked until September 2002. Alexander then joined DFKI GmbH as a System Administrator in June 2003 and became a Bioinformatician from July 2008 to March 2011.

In January 2011, Alexander joined Cogipharm / Schlossapotheke, where they worked as a Softwaredevelopment / IT Administration until May 2011. In the same month, they also started working at TOPdesk as a Consultant, a role that they still hold. Alexander later took on the additional responsibility of being a Technical and Integration Specialist from May 2019 to the present. Throughout their career, Alexander has accumulated valuable experience in IT administration, software development, bioinformatics, and consultancy.

Alex Baldauf has a strong background in both bioinformatics and computer science. Alexander obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioinformatics from the Universität des Saarlandes in 2007. Prior to that, they completed a Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration program at Compatec GmbH from 2000 to 2002. Alexander then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Bioinformatics from the same university in 2011. In between their Bachelor's and Master's degrees, they also attended the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) from 2008 to 2009, where they studied Computer Science and Life Sciences.
