Evert Nelson

Evert Nelson is a seasoned photojournalist and visual creative with extensive experience in both commercial and editorial photography. Currently serving as a Staff Photojournalist for the Topeka Capital-Journal since September 2019, Evert covers a variety of topics including news and sports while utilizing various media platforms. Evert has operated as a freelance photographer since 2012, offering services in still and motion photography. Previous roles include University Photographer for Kansas State University, Photography Editor for the K-State Collegian, and an official photographer for Denver University Athletics. Evert holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Kansas State University and has developed a strong proficiency in creating visual content for print and digital media across multiple platforms.
