Brenda Hough currently serves as the Staff Development Coordinator at Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library since April 2022. Hough has been an Adjunct Instructor at the School of Library and Information Management at Emporia State University since August 2003, teaching various graduate-level courses related to library science. Previous experience includes significant roles such as Board Member for Friends of Kansas Libraries and instructional designer and trainer for Infopeople, where Hough developed several innovative courses aimed at enhancing time management and leadership skills. Hough's background also includes teaching in the Certified Public Library Administrator program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and consultancy roles within various library systems. Educational achievements comprise a Master's degree in Library and Information Management from Emporia State University and extensive doctoral coursework in the same field.
