TopHire is founded by Sameer Parwani, previously founder of CouponDunia, and Siddharth Gopi, ex-product manager at Crowdfire.

About the Role

Being a recruitment marketplace means capturing the needs of not one but three customers - candidates, clients and our internal account managers.

The core problem of recruiting is matching, how do you take a requirement and find the best candidates for that role. Our product team spends most of their time identifying the key problem areas and ideating solutions and tools that help our clients and our own account managers to quickly find the right candidates from a pool of literally tens of thousand.

The second largest problem in recruiting is that it is a human heavy process and humans can be slow. No, we aren’t trying to take the human touch out of hiring. But way too much of the low leverage tasks in recruiting are slow. For example, it takes the average recruiter 10 minutes to create and send a calendar invite. Within our platform, it’s a 30 seconds job.

Another example, recruiters spend a massive amount of time in follow-ups checking whether a candidate is interested in an opportunity. We automate those follow-ups through email, whatsapp, and even call reminders.

The list can go on and on, but ultimately, our goal is to be able to take any tech job requirement, source relevant candidates immediately, and then help the client fast-track the interview process within days. We are looking for a passionate product enthusiast to join our team and help us get one step closer. You will own the problem space, the vision and will be responsible for influencing teams to execute the vision.

As an Associate Product Manager/Product Manager you will perform all the following roles:

Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for TopHire’s products, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch Analyze and assess current market trends, competitor offerings, product needs, areas of improvement and build vs. buy perspective to seek opportunities for differentiation Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teams Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple departments Appraise new product ideas and strategize appropriate production plans Collaborate closely with engineering, production, account management and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products and balance of resources. Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates TopHire and its features across primary market segments

You may be a fit if you have

1-3 yrs hands-on experience in product management (bonus points for techies); An owner mentality; willingness to take initiative and accountability to drive closure; A keen eye to reduce inefficiencies within the organisation; The ability to communicate cross-functionally, understand internal processes across teams, can derive requirements and implement them; The desire to work in a rapidly scaling startup.
