Sebastian Kruber has over 10 years of experience in the field of embedded software engineering. Sebastian began their career in 1997 as an intern at Kontron. In 2004, they interned at the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics. From 2005 to 2012, they worked as a Masters Student at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics, developing a Spectral Shearing Interferometer for Direct Electric-Field Reconstruction (SPIDER) and characterizing laser pulses from OPCPA and Ti:Sa lasers. In 2007, they became a Product Specialist at Carl Zeiss MicroImaging, Inc. From 2008 to 2019, they worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at Hedo Reha-Technik GmbH and Mirion Technologies, Inc. During this time, they also held a role as a Product Manager at Menlo Systems. In 2021, they began working as an Embedded Software Engineer at Toposens.

Sebastian Kruber started their educational journey in 2000 when they enrolled at the Technical University of Munich. Sebastian graduated in 2007 with a Master of Science degree in Physics. In 2012, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Laser and Optical Engineering at the University of Hamburg, which they completed in 2018. In 2016, they obtained an International Certificate for Operations of Pleasure Craft on the Waterways Navigable by Sea-Going Ships from the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure.
