Theresa Dorsey Meis has held a variety of positions in their career. Theresa Dorsey began their career in 2003 as a Technical Writer for ProtaTek and Creative Memories. In 2006, they became a Freelance Project Manager for Good Old Boat Magazine and a Freelance Writer for Creative Memories. In 2008, they were a Freelance Writer/Editor for Restore Products. In 2009, they returned to Creative Memories as a Copywriter. In 2014, they became Business Manager for Honest Home Inspection, LLC. In 2016, they were a Project Coordinator for Direct Source. In 2022, they are set to become a Content Strategist for TopRank Marketing. Additionally, since 2002, they have been a Professional Stage Performer for Fandazzi Fire Circus.

Theresa Dorsey Meis attended the University of St. Thomas from 1997 to 1999, where they studied Computer Science. Theresa Dorsey then transferred to the University of Minnesota-Morris, where they earned their BA in English in 2001.
