Michael Nugent

Michael Nugent serves as the V.P. of Sales & Merchandising at Tops Markets, where responsibilities include leading a team in maximizing sales, inventory control, and product merchandising. With extensive experience in operations, Michael has held several positions within the company, including Director of Center Store/Grocery, Director of Asset Protection (overseeing 170+ stores), District Manager of Operations, Store Manager (of the highest volume store resulting in significant EBITDA contributions), and Assistant Store Manager. Outside of retail, Michael is an Adjunct Professor at the University at Buffalo's School of Management, teaching Organizational Behavior, and is an accomplished public speaker on topics related to leadership and organizational dynamics. Michael holds an Executive MBA from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Economics from SUNY Empire State College.
