Sebastian Kreft has a long history of work experience in the software engineering field. Sebastian began their career in 2012 as a Software Engineer at Google, where they worked on the App Engine Team. In 2013, they moved to Deezer as a Software Engineer R&D, where they developed new software components, tested new software, and provided internal consultancy. In 2014, they joined RhodeCode as a Python Developer, where they worked mainly on the backend and was involved in projects such as detecting and fixing security issues, re-architecting the Git and Mercurial backends, and implementing server side merge for both Git and Mercurial. In 2015, they joined Sudo Technologies, Inc as a Software Engineer. In 2016, they returned to Google as a Software Engineer, where they worked on the now defunct Q&A Android app called Neighbourly. In 2018, they joined IntroLogic as a Software Engineer. In 2020, they joined Copilot as a Software Engineer, where they worked on data integrations, added Typescript support to the codebase, and implemented a series of CI/CD practices. In 2021, they joined Houm as the Chief Technology Officer and Topsort as the Technical Lead. In 2022, they joined Fintual as a Technical Advisor.
Sebastian Kreft obtained their M.Sc. in Computer Science from the Universidad de Chile in 2010, following their Computer Engineer degree from the same university, which they earned between 2003 and 2008, with a focus in Computer Science and Mathematics.
