Jacob Bergsma

Jacob Bergsma is a seasoned professional in the field of sports event management and communication, currently serving as the Manager of Topsport Evenementen at Topsport Amsterdam since January 2018, with prior experience in a similar role through the municipality of Amsterdam. With an extensive background in various communication roles, including ownership of a full-service communication management bureau and strategic advisor positions within the municipality, Jacob has cultivated expertise in managing communications for numerous sports organizations, including the Nederlandse Basketball Bond, AFC Ajax, and Rabo Wielerploegen. An accomplished author and director, Jacob has also contributed significantly to the history of basketball in the Netherlands as an archivist and statistician. Jacob holds degrees from Leiden University and Menso Alting College.
