Otar Melia

Otar Melia is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within the telecommunications and banking sectors. Currently serving as Deputy CIO at Silknet since 2018, Otar has been instrumental in launching an IT transformation project following Silknet's acquisition of GeoCell, focusing on the integration of BSS/OSS and reporting systems. Additional roles include serving as a Talent at Toptal and previously working as a Data Engineer at Savings United GmbH. Otar's career also encompasses significant positions such as Deputy CIO at MagtiCom, where in-house systems for online charging and billing were developed, and Project Manager at JSC Alliance Group Holding. With a strong academic background, Otar holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mathematics from Tbilisi State University and has contributed to education as a lecturer on Relational Databases at the Free University of Tbilisi.
