Mykhaylo Semtsiv

Mykhaylo Semtsiv is an experienced professional in the field of optical semiconductors and quantum technologies. Currently serving as a Development Engineer for Optical Semiconductors at TOPTICA Photonics since July 2022, Mykhaylo has been the Chief Technology Officer at Quantiox GmbH since October 2008, overseeing product development and customer support in custom semiconductor services and quantum cascade lasers. Previously, Mykhaylo worked as a Scientific Fellow in the Physics Department at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin for over two decades, focusing on the development of high-efficiency Quantum Cascade Lasers for mid-infrared applications. Mykhaylo's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Physics from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and completion of a PhD program at ISP, Institute of Semiconductor Physics, along with a high school diploma in Radioecology from the Ukrainian Radiological Training Center and a diploma in Solid State Physics from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
