Jan Skagerlund

Jan Skagerlund has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles.

Jan started their career at Ericsson in 1997 as an Optical Design Engineer, working on the development of the ERION DWDM product and involved in the characterization of optical components. Jan also worked on integration and upgrade projects on the AXE platform.

In 2000, they joined Lumentis as a Senior System Engineer and played a crucial role in designing and building a new DWDM system. Jan was involved in various aspects of system design, project management, and customer support.

In 2005, Jan Skagerlund joined Transmode as a Senior System Architect and later took on roles such as Director of Verification & Validation and IT Manager. Jan was responsible for guaranteeing the system performance and quality of Transmode's systems and managing a team of engineers.

In 2015, they moved to Infinera and served as a Program Manager and later as the Director of Release and System Management. Jan focused on managing development programs and implementing an agile way of working between PLM and R&D.

Jan Skagerlund then worked at Tobii Pro as a Project Manager, managing the Tobii Pro Glasses 3 project.

Currently, they are working at Toptracer as the Director of R&D Tracking Solutions, managing the R&D department responsible for developing the tracking platform. Jan also served as the Senior Manager of HW Solutions, overseeing HW development, project management, and production and sourcing.

Jan Skagerlund earned a Master of Science in Engineering degree in Physics from Linköping University. Jan attended the university from 1991 to 1996.
