Hiroshi Furuya

Hiroshi Furuya has held various leadership roles in the plastics industry. Hiroshi started their career at Toray Plastics (America), Inc. in 2005, initially serving as Technical Director and later as VP Operations. From 2013 to 2015, they worked at Toray Industries, Inc. as the GM Technical. Hiroshi then moved to Toray industries China and Yihua Toray Polyester Films Inc, where they served as the Managing Director and Director, Executive Vice President respectively. In 2020, they became the Executive Managing Director at 東レ（株）. Currently, they are the Senior Vice President & CTO at Toray Plastics (America), Inc.

Hiroshi Furuya attended Ishikawa National College of Technology from 1981 to 1986, where they earned an Associate of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Hiroshi later pursued further education at Keio University, from 2017 to 2021, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Relations. Their field of study at Keio University was focused on Human Relations.
