Matthew Fairclough-Kay

Matthew Fairclough-Kay has a diverse work experience, starting in 2007 as part of the Royal Navy, where they served in various roles such as Executive Officer, Commanding Officer, and Regional Operations Director. In 2013, they joined G4S as a Business Development Manager, focusing on high-value business growth opportunities. Matthew then worked at Plymouth City Council as a Transformation Programme Manager, leading a multi-million transformation program. From 2015 to 2017, Matthew served as the Managing Director of Wave-Tricity, an offshore renewables company. In 2017, they became the Contract Out CIO at Delt Shared Services Ltd. In 2020, they took on roles at Torbay Council, including CIO, Divisional Director of Corporate Services, and currently, Director of Corporate Services. In 2022, Matthew joined SWISCo as an Executive Director. Matthew is also a Non-Executive Director at CSW Group. In 2023, Matthew will also serve as an Executive Director at TorVista Homes.

Matthew Fairclough-Kay attended Cheadle Hulme School from 1985 to 1996. Matthew then studied at Lancaster University from 1996 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Later, in 2001-2002, they attended Britannia Royal Naval College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Equiv. degree. The field of study for both degrees is unknown.
