Robert Parsons

Robert Parsons serves as the Head of Harbour Authority and Services at Torbay Council since December 2021, following a tenure as Harbour Master with Newlyn Pier and Harbour Commissioners from December 2013 to December 2021. Prior experience includes a significant military career in the Royal Navy from September 1996 to November 2013, where Robert held roles such as Warfare Officer, Divisional Officer, Hydrographic Surveyor, Meteorological Officer, and Oceanographic Officer. Robert's educational background includes a Diploma in Port Management from Lloyds Maritime Academy, several project management certifications from APM College and APMG-International, and a CMI Level 7 in Military Strategic Leadership and Management from the Defence Academy Shrivenham, Kings College London, complemented by a Post Graduate Certificate in Hydrographic Surveying, Meteorology, and Oceanography from the University of Plymouth.
