Bilqees Akhtar

Bilqees Akhtar has extensive experience in the field of regulatory affairs, specifically in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President and Head of Regulatory Affairs at TORL BioTherapeutics, LLC. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs at ALX Oncology. Bilqees also worked at Amgen as the Director of Global Regulatory Lead for Oncology, and at Nektar Therapeutics as an Associate Director of Regulatory Affairs in Oncology. Bilqees Akhtar holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from UCLA. Bilqees then pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from California State University, Northridge, and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Regulatory Science from the University of Southern California. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in EudraVigilance - Electronic Reporting of ICSRs in the European Economic Area, Notary Public from the National Notary Association, and Six Sigma Process Excellence: Green Belt Certified in DMAIIC Methodology.
