Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA)
Katie Turnbull has over 17 years of experience in ecosystem management and restoration, currently serving as Senior Project Manager for the Toronto and Region Conservation (TRCA) since April 2006. Previous roles at TRCA include Project Manager I for Restoration Projects, Environmental Technologist, Environmental Crew Lead in the Habitat Restoration Division, and Environmental Field Laborer. Prior to TRCA, Katie worked as a Biologist and Site Supervisor at Tiny Marsh from June 2002 to September 2005. Educational credentials include an Honors degree in Environmental Sciences with a focus on Biology from Trent University (2006-2008) and a Diploma in Ecosystem Management Technologist from Fleming College (2004-2005).

With more than 60 years of experience, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) is one of 36 Conservation Authorities in Ontario, created to safeguard and enhance the health and well-being of watershed communities through the protection and restoration of the natural environment and the ecological services the environment provides. Some of Canada’s largest and fastest growing municipalities, including Toronto, Markham and Vaughan, are located entirely within the TRCA watershed jurisdiction.
