Maham Aqil

Maham Aqil is a skilled professional with extensive experience in community planning and stakeholder engagement, currently serving as a Business Planner and Council Liaison at Toronto Community Housing since July 2020. Previously, Maham held roles as Constituency and Outreach Assistant for Councillor Gary Crawford and Administrative and Constituency Assistant for Councillor Vincent Crisanti at the City of Toronto, where responsibilities included resolving resident issues and implementing city bylaws. Maham also gained valuable experience at Deloitte Pakistan as Project Assistant and Monitoring and Evaluation Intern on a USAID project. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Development Studies and a Graduate Diploma in Refugee Studies from York University, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in International Development from the University of Toronto. Maham has demonstrated leadership as President of the International Development Studies Student Association and contributed to various non-profit initiatives.
