Kees-Jan Homsma

Kees-Jan Homsma serves as the Director of Facilities and Fleet at Toronto Hydro since July 2013, overseeing external facilities management services, internal personnel, and preventative maintenance programs, while also managing capital projects for work centers and substations. Previously, Kees-Jan held various positions at General Motors, including Bodyshop Dimensional Group Leader, where supervision of a multi-disciplined team and quality metrics reporting were key responsibilities. Kees-Jan also contributed significantly to the launch of several vehicle models as a Manufacturing Engineering Representative and Dimensional Performance Engineering Rep, ensuring adherence to corporate standards. Kees-Jan's career in manufacturing engineering began in 2000, with involvement in process enhancements and plant design, supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies with a focus on Urban Planning from the University of Waterloo.
