John Thompson

John Thompson is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in technology leadership and management. Currently serving as Associate Director of Information Services Delivery at the Greater Toronto Airports Authority since November 2016, John has previously held senior roles including Director of Vendor and Systems Management at Tim Hortons, where responsibilities included overseeing vendor management for in-restaurant technologies. John also served as Director of IT Operations and Service at Aecon, managing a team of 55 and a budget of $21 million, as well as Vice President of Information Technology at Cara Operations, overseeing a sizable IT team and budget. Early in the career, John held the position of General Manager at Darden. John holds a Business Administration Diploma from Mohawk College.
