Zeljko Cakic

Zeljko Cakic, P.Eng., PMP, is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in airport technology strategy and management, currently serving as the Director of IT for Airport Development Programs at Greater Toronto Airports Authority since August 2007. Cakic has been instrumental in driving airport expansion initiatives, enhancing cybersecurity frameworks, and implementing innovative technology solutions such as Apron AI for operational efficiency and advanced baggage automation systems. Prior roles include Director of Technology Architecture and Planning and Chief Technology Infrastructure Architect, with a strong focus on governance, outsourcing strategies, and infrastructure development. Cakic holds a Professional Engineer designation from the University of Toronto, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Belgrade, and a Master's degree in Information Technology Project Management from McMaster University.
