Robert Johnson, M.O.M., has served as Deputy Chief of the Specialized Operations Command at Toronto Police Service since March 2011, overseeing approximately 1,200 police officers and 900 civilian members with a budget of $240M. Johnson's extensive experience includes roles such as Staff Superintendent in Strategy and Risk Management, Unit Commander at 14 Division, and District Commander for Central North District. Prior experience within the Service includes various supervisory roles from 1989 to 2010, involving criminal investigations, risk management, and community engagement. Johnson holds a BAA in Justice Studies from the University of Guelph and has completed diplomas in Police Studies and Police Foundations - Leadership, with ongoing education at the Rotman School of Management.
