Ciara O' Connell (PMP, PMI-ACP)

Ciara O'Connell has a strong background in project management and finance. Ciara has worked at the Toronto Region Board of Trade since 2020, starting as a Manager and progressing to Senior Manager and now Director of Business Projects. Prior to that, they worked at The Royal Conservatory of Music as an ERP Operations Manager and Accounting Analyst. Ciara also has experience as an Accounting Lead at Hill+Knowlton Strategies and a Finance & Operations Administrator at GCI Canada.

Ciara O'Connell obtained a BSc in Business Information Systems from University College Cork, which they pursued from 2008 to 2013. In 2018, they took a Financial Accounting Course at The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education at Toronto Metropolitan University.

Ciara has several additional certifications, including the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) from the Project Management Institute, which they obtained in September 2023. Ciara also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the same institute, acquired in April 2021.

Furthermore, they possess a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from QCDMS Consultants, earned in September 2019, and a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification from the same institution, obtained in March 2019.

Additionally, Ciara completed Crystal Reports Level 1 & 2 training offered by SAP in August 2019. Ciara also holds an Emergency First Aid - CPR A - AED certification from St. John Ambulance Canada | Ambulance Saint-Jean, acquired in October 2019.
