Asst. Vehicle Engineer (subway Workcar Engineering) at Toronto Transit Commission (TTC)

Samuel Cheung is an accomplished engineer with a strong background in aerospace and electrical systems. Currently serving as an Assistant Vehicle Engineer at the Toronto Transit Commission since February 2023, Samuel focuses on designing system improvements for subway maintenance railcars, resolving electromechanical issues, and preparing necessary documentation. Prior to this role, Samuel worked as a UAV Field Engineer at Drone Delivery Canada, leading R&D flight test activities and project management for drone development. Experience also includes positions as a Test Engineer at ABC Technologies, Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Toronto, Strategic Technology Intern at BOMBARDIER, and an intern at National Research Council Canada, demonstrating a diverse skill set in testing, data analysis, and design relevant to the aerospace industry. Samuel holds a Master's degree in Applied Science, Aerospace from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Structures, Systems and Vehicle Design from Carleton University.
